How to Measure

Sketch a top-down layout; label walls A, B, C. Include doors, windows, soffits/bulkheads, bumps, and recesses.

Measure each wall to the nearest 1/4".

Measure floor-to-ceiling height (and soffit height/depth if present).

For each window/door: record width × height (casing edge to casing edge).

Measure floor → bottom of each window casing/sill.

Measure from nearest corner → outside edge of each window/door casing.

Mark utilities and measure to their centers (sink drain, hot/cold, dishwasher line, gas, outlets, HVAC/vents).

List appliances with width × depth × height (refrigerator, range/cooktop/oven, dishwasher, microwave/hood, etc.).

Take photos: one straight-on of each wall + a couple wide shots.
